Provision of Documents Confirming the Manufacturer’s Quality Management System for the Production of Goods

Dear Members of the Tender Committee,
Having carefully reviewed the requirements of the tender documentation, in particular the provision concerning the submission of a scanned copy of a valid ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certificate (or its later version, or an equivalent) issued to the manufacturer in relation to the production of the goods being procured or the production of the group of goods to which the subject of procurement belongs, we respectfully request clarification and amendment of the said requirement.
In order to ensure fair competition and non-discrimination among participants, we kindly ask that the wording of this requirement be supplemented with the following clarification, taking into account the specific nature of the products that are the subject of procurement:
“A scanned copy of a valid ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certificate, or its later version, or an equivalent, issued to the manufacturer in relation to the production of the goods that are the subject of procurement, including drilling, oil and gas field, and geological exploration equipment, or the production of the group of goods to which the subject of procurement belongs.”
The introduction of this editorial clarification will help to clearly define the scope of applicability of the ISO 9001 certificate in accordance with the industry-specific nature of the procurement and will ensure equal participation conditions for manufacturers and suppliers of the respective equipment.
